What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding different behavior. ABA therapy carefully considers history and the environment in order to improve or change specific behaviors to help children and families reach their potential. Broward Behavioral and Community Services is proud to have Board Certified Analysts supporting our Early Childhood Centers and
providing one-on-one, focused ABA therapy on site and Behavioral Consultation services.
About the program:
We provide short-term ABA services in the home clinic, and community with an emphasis on parent training. We address the goals that are the greatest priorities of the family. Parent participation is required to help families be successful when trainers are not present. Frequency and duration of services are individualized based on each child's focused goals.

We also offer a range of services from simple phone consultations to ongoing trainings, support and advocacy services. Alongside these services we can also collaborate among and between school personnel and any additional service professionals to provide a consistent approach to achieving our common goals.

Meeting with an LBA:
They’ll work with your child and your family to create a treatment plan. Your child and family will learn strategies to use at home and in the community — wherever your family goes. They can coordinate with your child’s therapists and other providers up to twice a year to ensure a team approach to your child’s treatment.
